UPDATE [05-19-2015]:
I actually made a short video that showcases a bit how the rig works. If you're interested, you can watch it here: http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7A8CON3Az-A

UPDATE [06-18-2016]:
There is now a new (and improved) version avaliable for download here: http://chronotrickle.deviantart.com/art/Rainbow-Dash-3D-Model-V-0-7-by-chronotrickle-616194369

Ok, so the model/rig is kind of presentable now. You can download the .blend file by clicking the download button on the right.

I'm planning to upload a short video soon as well, to explain how the rig works in detail.
For now, you can pose the model using the IK-Circles (one for each leg) and the spine controller bones. Also, there are some rudimentary shapekeys on the mesh itself for facial animation. I'll try to make the rig more manageable in the future but right now, you'll have to handle a lot of stuff manually.

This .blend file contains an early version (Version 0.5) of a fully rigged 3d pony model. Also packed in this file are textures that will give the model a similar appearance to the character 'Applejack' from the animated series 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic', which is owned by Hasbro.
